What does Glow Mama represent?

Fitness & health should be made a priority even more so when you become a mama - whether that's whilst pregnant or after you've had your little one(s). Your body goes through incredible changes that should be celebrated, and exercise is a way of looking after it to help maintain & improve your level of fitness and encourage post natal recovery. It’s an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can make.

 

We believe that in the postnatal period which can last for anything from 2-7 years, the last thing a mother should be worried about is the aesthetics or 'losing the mum tum'. Instead we have a different narrative, one which empowers mothers to build their strength and focus on improving their health to have a functional body that compliments the lifestyle of a mother. Raising children can be a very physical role, with all the bending down, lifting, running around & even the mental toll. So at Glow Mama we encourage exercise that helps to build core & upper body strength and boost that serotonin which can then make all those jobs you have to perform easier.

I also believe in finding the pleasurable side of fitness and community, especially as a mum; and while there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the benefits of fitness are worth the challenge. And the best part is that your little ones can come along with you, and we provide tea & coffee afterwards which gives you a chance to get to know the other mums and maybe even make some friendships along the way!
